We Reached 1000 Blog Subscribers Last Week….Thank You!

June 9, 2010 by christine

Last summer, Josh and I had a crazy idea that we would do a webinar to sell loan audits. We spent weeks on the content, scheduled the webinar, and waited….and then no one showed up for our webinar. It was like a punch in the gut.

I remember Josh saying, “Well, I guess we’d (meaning me, ha ha) better just start blogging.” So I started writing blog posts. I used to attend a lot of networking events, but I started blogging instead. I watched all the people I had met at networking events doing speaking engagements, expanding their businesses, and I was…..blogging.

I had just filed bankruptcy and had no idea how I was going to pay my bills, but I just kept blogging about the law, foreclosure and what I saw happening with loan modifications.

And now, a year later, we have an office in Phoenix, are hiring loan auditors and getting ready to expand into LA.

I will share that writing a blog is one of those things you have to be prepared for. It takes a lot of guts to be “out there,” open to criticism and having to admit when you’re wrong. With blogging comes responsibility, especially with respect to the foreclosure mess. With social media, if you’re just out to make money and don’t care about people, or you’re fake, you’ll be exposed. It’s transparency at its finest.

I’m fortunate in that I know what I’m supposed to be doing on this earth and get to do it every day…so it’s not really work. (Yes, I’m one of those people.)

So, I’m a bit late in sharing this with you, but last week Josh told me that we have over 1,000 subscribers to this blog. As I mentioned on Facebook last week, I’m still amazed that anyone is interested in what I think or have to say….but I am grateful nonetheless.

Thank you to all of our readers…you are amazing!

I also want to say thanks to all of you who have reached out to ask for help, became a client, liked Foreclosure Industry’s Facebook page, watched our videos, or contacted or interacted with us in some other way.

I also have to thank Josh for running the behind the scenes operation for the blog…you are a rock star at social media!

Also, I want to thank a handful of attorneys that we work with on a regular basis: Keith Elder in LA, Zach and Rory at the Paladin Legal Advocacy Center in Las Vegas, and Brad and Matthew at the Roach Law Firm here in Arizona.

Finally, I want to say thanks to Neil Garfield. I have no idea whether he reads my blog, and it doesn’t really matter, because I learn a lot from him! I hope his readers realize the amazing value he’s putting out there with his blog posts. I’ve read a post or two of his and applied it immediately to situations with clients (both homeowner AND attorney clients) and it has made all the difference.

Thank you to everyone!
