Nice Summary of the root issues with Loan Modifications: "The problem lies with servicers of loans. Most people don’t realize this, but when you buy a loan product, there are two parts: the servicing rights, or the company who collects the payments on the loan, and the actual owner of the loan. Given that many mortgages are in securitized mortgage pools, there may not be an actual owner of your note, but many investors who own a part of the mortgage pool."

I want to know if a loan service provider is different and are they treated under the same regulations as other mortage lenders.
It appears from reading your blog ther is no good reason for them to try and work with the borrower, we are just a dollar sign to the loan service provider.
How do i find help I do not want to lose my house but it appears Litton Loan Servicing which was a part of the hope now network has no reason to help me save my house
After learning about the Net Value clause why would they want to help Harry Homeowner?
Are their others that are being treated the same way and have fallen on hard times?
Please respond so I know what to do next.
Foreclosure is looming I have made an appointment with a lawyer for next week.
I hope I am not too late
